Love Shock
03:22
|
|||
Johnny was a butcher
Good at cutting up the meat,
Sarah was a neighbour
Only living down the street
So he took her to a disco
And they cut up the floor
Like two living things dancing
Up to heaven' s front door.
You want to be loved
But you're not
Its like a love shock.
It's like a love shock.
It's like a love shock.
And you want be cool
But you're not
And no one gives a fuck.
But Sarah was a bad girl
Bringing all the pain
Like a bad thing, flushing
Johnny's heart down the drain.
So he took her to the abattoir
And had his pound of meat.
Now all thats left of sarah
Is all over the street.
How are you meant
To make a mark?
In somebody's heart
Aiming in the dark?
Aiming in the dark?
Who knows?

Ride The Bull
03:15
|

Sometimes you got to
Ride the Bull,
It's all in how you see things.
Glass half empty,
Now half full,
Write your own happy ending.
Give yourself a
Smiley face,
As if it's all OK.
Ride the bullshit
Out the door,
Ride it all the way.
Bake yourself a happy cake,
Fill it full
Of sunshine.
Take a trip to happy land,
Be happy all
The time.
Give yourself a
Smiley face,
If that makes it all OK.
Ride the bull right
Out the door,
Ride it all the way.
Now we're thinking positive
We can work it out.
Now that we're so upbeat
There aint no room for doubt.
Give yourself a smiley face.
Fill it full of sunshine.
Ride the bull right out the door
Be happy all the time.

Haven’t had a shit for a week
So fed up to the back of my teeth
I read that suicide is painful, but brief
And may provide some kind of relief.
It’s slow going when you’re pretty tired
Milk, coffee coloured and expired.
Slather moisturiser all over the fire
A distraction, pull my teeth out with pliers.
Love is all melted and broken
Like the back of a van that keeps falling open
Like sewage spilling out into the ocean
Paralysed and blinded with a single motion.
My hair is falling out of my head
Every time I scratch, blood all over my bed
Living on nothing but bread
When I close my eyes, I can see nothing but red.

It's Cool
03:51
|

Contrails
From an airbus
a380 in the afternoon.
Slowly
Forming chemicals
Mixing with the water in the sky as it cools.
And they're so ugly
So ugly that they make me smile
With my black teeth, happy and nodding.
They're like me.
They're so like me that it's cool.
It's cool. It's cool.
If you don't want me,
There's nothing I can do
And there's no one I can turn to
If you don't need me,
There's no one I can be
And I guess that's fine with me
It's cool.
Buildings
On the skyline
Lights on, even in the evening sun.
Sometimes
They look like they're melting
Like cakes in a urinal.
And they're so ugly
So ugly that they make me smile
With my black teeth, happy and nodding.
They're like me.
They're so like me that it's cool.
It's cool. It's cool.

Spending time out in the garden on the swing chair with Ronan and Paul, spend the evening talking to Ciara about how we're gonna do it all, and life looks like this for a while, but it was never gonna be my style and life looks like this for a while but it ain't never gonna be my style, no. It's like I'm waiting for it to happen, but it's looking like it never will, I feel like I see it coming, on the horizon or over the hill, and life looks like this for a while, but it ain't never gonna be my style, and life looks like this for a while, but it ain't never gonna be my style. And then it does, it comes and I feel like I'm in overdrive, and we break up, the whole band is over and we're all moving on with our lives, and life looked pretty good for a while, but it was never gonna be my style, and life looked pretty good for a while, but it was never gonna be my style, oh no no no, no no no woah, no no no, no no no ohh woah, no no no.
